I'm not sure if Blight can make anything of that error message - Booga can pass it on and ask him, but Booga will probably want some more info before he does so. The one thing I would do is to make sure you have the latest version of DirectVobSub installed. It would probably also be helpful if you could try the latest public Zoom version 7.
Version 7 did make some changes for subtitles for example, allowing you to use ffdshow in addition to DirectVobSub , and it did feature at least one fix for MKV files and subtitles: "Cycling through Subtitle tracks in ". MKV" files containing no internal subtitles with one external subtitle file, didn't work. I also have just corrected my link to the full v7 changelog a couple of posts above this one. I added an extra ' ' at the end of it when I first posted it, that made it give a not found error when you click on it.
The link now works PPS. I made the same mistake with the link to Booga's post as well, have now corrected it too.
